Swiss-born Silvain S. Wyler and wife Arma founded the Wyler
company in 1931 with seven employees and one product, the chicken bouillon
cube. Initially, Wyler imported chicken bouillon cubes from France, and sold
them as Wyler’s “Delicia” Chicken Broth Cubes. He later added beef cubes to the
line, and by 1940 the company was manufacturing bouillon cubes in Chicago.
Silvain Wyler pioneered the
development of bouillon and dry soup mix as we know them today, continually
innovating to meet consumer needs. Since then, Wyler’s® has taken
bouillon and soup in many new flavor and convenience directions, developing
exciting new product lines and packaging innovations to meet the needs of
today’s consumer. Our bouillon cubes now dissolve in less than 1 minute.
